The Mystery of Guci Tegal Tourism,

Based on the story of the local community, the history of the name Guci comes from the Walisongo era.

To spread Islam in western Central Java, especially around Tegal, a guardian was sent. The guardian is provided with water which is placed in a jar or teapot.

The people believed that the water in the jar could be nutritious, so they flocked to ask the guardian. However, because the amount of water was limited, while the people asked for it so much, the wali then stuck his stick into the ground. When the wand was pulled out, miraculously from the hole where the stick was stuck, hot water flowed.

The hot water is still flowing and is used by the community as a bath. Then, the place became known as the jar. The incident is said to have occurred at midnight on Kliwon Friday Night. So, until today, on Friday Kliwon night, many people still come to the Guci to soak. They believe, if they do this their wish will come true.

Route to Guci Tegal Tourism

Towards the tourist location of Guci Tegal, visitors have an alternative to private vehicles or public transportation. If using public transportation, departing from Tegal City, visitors can use public transportation that goes to Purwokerto.

After passing through the center of Slawi city, when you arrive in the Lebaksiu District area. At the Yomani T-junction there is a sign for the way to the Guci. It is about 25 kilometers from there.

If from Slawi, just take the mini bus to Bumi Jawa. After about 30 minutes of traveling, visitors can get off at Tuwel Village. From there, visitors can continue the journey by taking an open pickup to the Guci.

If departing from Pemalang City, visitors must use private vehicles because there is no public transportation to Guci. Take the route towards Purbalingga. After arriving at the Moga T-junction, turn right towards the Guci.

The location of the Twin Waterfall is near the Waterboom. To reach the location, visitors must walk on a rather steep downhill road. Need to be a little careful because the road is quite slippery.
